About the Lake Albert Soccer Club

The Lake Albert Soccer Club was formed in 1984 by Chris Blake, John Studdard and Peter Hersom. With the love of soccer and all having young children, they saw the need to form a soccer club in the Lake Albert area. The initial principles and objectives of the club were to provide enjoyment, friendship and aid in the development of players both mentally and physically and to always support those who excel in the sport.

Junior Soccer

In 2009, the club had over 380 registered junior players playing in grades from under 6’s to under 15’s, making it one of the largest clubs in Wagga. Junior soccer is played predominantly at Bolton Park. In 2010 Football Wagga Wagga will be able to utilize all of the area for junior's in the age groups from under 6's to under 11's.

In 2010, we are on track to field over 40 teams in junior competitions.

Senior Soccer

In 2009, the club had nearly 100 players playing in the senior divisions including under 18’s, senior ladies and three senior mens teams. Lake Albert’s home ground was Rawlings Park 2 at the northern end of the park.
